Sanchez: Privatizing healthcare means CEOs deciding the fate of citizens
Madrid, 3 December (Hibya) – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez criticized the health policies of the People's Party (PP), stating that they risk turning healthcare services into a commercial field.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez criticized the People's Party’s (PP) health policies. Sanchez said, “This is the PP model: turning health into a business and illness into an opportunity for enrichment.”
He emphasized that the privatization of healthcare services means a company CEO would be deciding on citizens’ lives, leading to longer waiting lists, higher profitability, and increasing inequalities.
Sanchez added, “We will not allow this. The government will defend public healthcare with all the tools of the state.”
