Washington, December 3 (Hibya) – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the United States will take decisive action against atrocities and violence targeting Christians in Nigeria and around the world.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the United States will take firm steps against violence toward Christians in Nigeria and globally.
Rubio stated, "The State Department will restrict U.S. visas for individuals who knowingly direct, authorize, finance, support, or commit violations of religious freedom."
He added that this visa policy is not limited to Nigeria: "This visa policy applies to Nigeria and to other governments or individuals who persecute people because of their religious beliefs."
