Russian President Putin Meets with Egyptian President El-Sisi
Moscow, May 10 (Hibya) – Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
President Putin noted that Russia-Egypt relations are on the rise, stating, "Our cooperation is multifaceted and based on the provisions of the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation agreement. We maintain a regular and meaningful political dialogue."
He emphasized that Egypt is one of Russia's key partners in Africa, adding, "Last year, trade volume increased by over 30%, reaching a record level of $9 billion. In the first two months of this year, an additional increase of over 80% was recorded."
Putin highlighted that the Russia-Egypt Intergovernmental Commission is actively working: "Major joint projects are underway, and we are determined to make progress in all these areas. Our countries coordinate their approaches on current international issues, including the Middle East."
