Russian drones strike the news center of Ukraine’s public broadcaster
Stockholm, 18 November (Hibya) – Russian drones attacked the city of Dnipro until shortly before midnight, damaging the news center of the public broadcaster Suspilne and Ukraine Radio Dnipro.
Suspilne reported that windows and doors were blown out, roofs and ceilings were damaged, and a fire broke out. No staff were inside the building during the attack.
The nationwide public broadcaster provides television, radio, and online news services through its regional stations across Ukraine.
Regional Governor Vladyslav Hayvanenko said Ukrainian air defense forces shot down more than 30 drones in the attack. He added that two people were injured.
Several fires broke out, damaging private businesses, garages, residential buildings, shops, kiosks, and administrative offices.
The attack also affected railway infrastructure. Ukrainian Railways reported delays in passenger trains due to damage to the station and several carriages, as well as temporary disruption to transportation in the region. Emergency crews worked at the sites to help restore operations.
