Russia unveils its latest unmanned aerial vehicle, the Supercam S180
Moscow, November 18 (Hibya) – Ekaterina Zgirovskaya, spokeswoman for the Unmanned Systems Group (UGCS), announced that Russia’s newest reconnaissance UAV, the Supercam S180, was showcased at the Dubai Airshow in the UAE.
The fixed-wing Supercam UAV offers superior short-term acceleration capabilities compared with FPV drones. Supercam drones are used in both civilian and military applications. The Supercam S180 is designed for monitoring and reconnaissance missions lasting up to two hours.
Zgirovskaya stated: “The UAV is compatible with payloads of the flagship Supercam S350 (full HD video cameras, full-frame cameras, HD thermal imaging devices), has a more compact size (1.8-meter wingspan), and can be launched using elastic or pneumatic catapults.”
The UAV’s increased payload capacity allows it to carry additional equipment for radio and video reconnaissance.
