Palestinian Foreign Minister Shahin meets her Philippine counterpart
Manila, 18 November (Hibya) – Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin held a meeting with Philippine Foreign Minister Teresa Lazaro.
Minister Shahin met with Minister Lazaro as part of the first official visit since the establishment of Palestine–Philippines relations in 1989.
Shahin emphasized that the timing of the visit is critical in light of the political and humanitarian developments in Palestine and the region.
During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the two countries was signed.
