Russell calls on world leaders to protect children's rights
New York, September 18 (Hibya) - United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Executive Director Catherine Russell called on world leaders ahead of the United Nations General Assembly to protect children's rights and prioritize children in investments for the future.
UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell issued a call to world leaders regarding the future of children as part of the United Nations General Assembly.
Russell said, “As world leaders gather for the United Nations General Assembly, we ask: What kind of future will they choose for children?”
Emphasizing the importance of investing in children for peace, prosperity and the future, Russell said, “Investing in children and protecting their rights is the best investment we can make in peace, prosperity and the future. UNICEF’s call is simple: Prioritize children.”
