Qatar's Foreign Minister Al Sani held a phone call with his US counterpart Rubio
Doha, January 28 (Hibya) - Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Sani held a phone call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to a statement from Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Al Sani received a phone call from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
During the conversation, the close strategic relations between the State of Qatar and the United States, ways to support and strengthen these relations, recent developments in Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon, and several issues of mutual interest were discussed.
The parties emphasized the importance of continuing joint mediation efforts in Gaza and the necessity for the conflicting parties to implement all provisions of the ceasefire agreement, including the release of detainees and prisoners, and to ensure a sustainable and uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid to all areas of Gaza.
The US Secretary of State expressed his gratitude to the State of Qatar for its goodwill efforts that led to the release of two Americans detained in Afghanistan.
