Palestine: Allowing settlers to purchase land in the West Bank is annexation
Ramallah, January 29 (Hibya) - The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding the approval for settlers to purchase land in the West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding the approval for settlers to purchase land in the West Bank.
In its statement, the ministry declared: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates takes with great seriousness the approval by the Israeli Knesset of a bill allowing settlers to purchase Palestinian land in the West Bank. This effectively means applying Israeli laws to the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly in East Jerusalem, and constitutes a clear violation of international law, disrespect for international legitimacy and its resolutions, as well as a violation of the Geneva Conventions and signed agreements."
