In a statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that the approval of the Constitutional Declaration by Syrian President Shara was welcomed.

The statement emphasized that this historic step is expected to serve as a solid foundation for organizing the transitional period and building an institutional, just, and freedom-based state that the brotherly Syrian people aspire to.

The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s full support for Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, as well as the aspirations of the brotherly Syrian people for freedom, development, and prosperity.
