Qatar issued a message of solidarity and condolences following a fire at an event hall in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In a statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said messages of solidarity were conveyed to the Democratic Republic of Congo after the fire caused the deaths and injuries of many people.

The statement said that, on behalf of the State of Qatar, condolences were extended to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives, as well as to the government and people of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also wished those injured in the fire a swift recovery and good health.
