Qatar Hosted a High-Level Roundtable Meeting
New York, April 26 (Hibya) – The Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations organized a high-level roundtable meeting at the UN Headquarters in New York.
The Permanent Mission of Qatar, in collaboration with Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), UNICEF, the World Health Organization (WHO), Autism Speaks, and the American Autism Association (AAA), hosted a high-level roundtable at the UN Headquarters in New York.
The meeting aimed to follow up on the outcomes of the AutismTech 2025 Conference, which HBKU organized in Doha from April 14 to 16 to celebrate World Autism Awareness Day.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, emphasized Qatar's commitment to ensuring the rights of individuals with autism to be fully included in society.
Al-Thani noted that Qatar’s overall approach is based on an integrated system of legal frameworks, national policies, and specialized programs designed to empower this group and support their active participation in various fields of life.
