Qatar condemns Iran's attacks
Doha, September 8 (Hibya) - Qatar strongly condemned Iran's attacks on countries in the region, describing them as “unjustified.” The Doha administration warned that drawing regional countries into the existing conflicts would further escalate tensions.
Qatar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Hind Abdulrahman Al Muftah, called in her remarks at the 63rd session of the Human Rights Council for an immediate halt to military actions and attacks, the protection of freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and a return to diplomacy.
On Palestine, Al Muftah condemned Israeli settlement activities, attacks on Gaza and plans for the forced displacement of Palestinians, while stressing the need to continue political, economic and humanitarian support for Syria. In Sudan, she condemned attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) against civilians and called for those responsible to be held accountable.
