Putin meets leaders of Singapore and Timor-Leste
Moscow, June 19 (Hibya) - Russian President Vladimir Putin held separate meetings in Kazan on June 18 with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Timor-Leste Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao.
According to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry, bilateral relations were discussed during the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
During the meeting, it was noted that Russia-Singapore relations are shaped by mutual respect and a pragmatic approach, while constructive dialogue continues in areas of common interest.
During Putin's meeting with Timor-Leste Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao, bilateral cooperation and regional issues were discussed. The Russian side stated that it views Timor-Leste as a promising partner in the Asia-Pacific region.
The statement also noted that the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Timor-Leste will be celebrated in 2027.
