European Parliament (EP) President Roberta Metsola held a meeting at the European Parliament in Strasbourg with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Federal National Council Speaker Saqr Ghobash.

In her statement regarding the meeting, Metsola said they conveyed a message of solidarity in light of the security challenges faced by the United Arab Emirates following Iran’s attacks, stating, “I expressed our full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and reaffirmed our commitment to lasting peace and stability in the region.”

It was also reported that within the framework of the European Union (EU)-United Arab Emirates (UAE) Interparliamentary Meeting, the parties discussed strengthening the partnership, advancing free trade, and deepening parliamentary cooperation.
