Prague, May 17 (Hibya) - Czech President Petr Pavel stated in a message regarding the commemoration program held at Terezin Fortress for those who lost their lives due to Nazi ideology that the past must not be forgotten and that caution should be exercised against hate speech.

In his statement, Pavel said that they paid tribute to the memory of tens of thousands of people who lost their lives because of Nazi ideology and emphasized that the past must not be forgotten. Pavel noted that hate speech, the normalization of evil, and attempts to rewrite history should not be ignored, stressing the importance of societies learning lessons from the past.
