Developments in the Gulf discussed between Portugal and Qatar
Lisbon, May 17 (Hibya) - Portuguese and Qatari foreign affairs officials discussed developments in the Gulf, navigation security in the Strait of Hormuz, and the possible effects of the regional conflict.
According to a statement made by the Official Account of the Cabinet of the Portuguese Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel held a phone conversation with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
During the conversation, the latest developments in the Gulf region were discussed, while it was emphasized that bilateral cooperation between the two countries continues at a high level. It was also reported that the parties highlighted the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and made assessments regarding the course of the conflict in the region.
