Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, attended the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, where he shared his assessments of the regional and global security agenda.

Dar congratulated the Philippines on its successful chairmanship of ASEAN and the ARF and reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to peace, dialogue, and multilateral cooperation.

He stressed that at a time of growing global uncertainty, diplomacy remains the only sustainable path to achieving lasting peace.

During the ministerial sessions, Dar shared Pakistan's views on regional and international developments and outlined his country's constructive initiatives aimed at promoting dialogue and de-escalation during the tensions between the United States and Iran.

Dar also argued that lasting peace in South Asia depends on a just resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir issue in line with United Nations Security Council resolutions.

He added that preserving the Indus Waters Treaty is of fundamental importance for regional peace and stability.
