Netanyahu: We established a security zone preventing Hezbollah infiltration into the Galilee
Jerusalem, June 24 (Hibya) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on Lebanon, Syria, and security policies during his speech at the Israel Federation of Local Authorities Conference.
According to a statement released by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Hezbollah continues to maintain a presence in Lebanon, but Israel has established a security zone along its northern border that prevents the organization from infiltrating the Galilee region.
Netanyahu stated that underground infrastructure in southern Lebanon had been targeted and argued that significant changes had taken place in the area.
He also addressed the threat posed by unmanned aerial vehicles, saying that Israel aims to become the first country to develop a solution against explosive-laden drones.
Commenting on operations in Gaza, Netanyahu defended the decision to continue military activities in Rafah and criticized calls to halt the operations.
Referring to Syria, Netanyahu said that Israel had taken the measures it deemed necessary in the region and would continue to support and protect the Druze community.
