Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney provided information on the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the healthcare sector, researchers’ access to data, and the government’s financial support in this field.

Highlighting the human dimension of artificial intelligence and the role of the health platform, Carney said: “The VITAL health data platform enables researchers tackling some of our biggest health challenges to access clinical data from hospitals in near real time.”

Emphasizing their commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure, Carney concluded his statement by saying: “We are investing 100 million dollars to expand access to the platform across Canada.”
