According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Netanyahu was briefed by Admiral David Saar, the Commander of the Navy, Colonel Eitan Paz, the Commander of the Ashdod Base, and other Israeli Navy commanders on naval operations during the war and the prevention of dozens of terrorists attempting to infiltrate by sea.

Prime Minister Netanyahu later spoke with naval commandos from various units involved in the war. In his statement, Netanyahu said, "I have personally received reports from each of you and have also watched videos showing the incredible work you do in defending our country. You stopped them and are still stopping them. You killed them and did not allow them to infiltrate."
