Netanyahu: Miriam Feirberg-Eicher left a profound mark on Netanya’s development
Jerusalem, November 21 (Hibya) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a condolence message following the passing of Netanya Mayor Miriam Feirberg-Eicher.
Netanyahu and his wife Sara Netanyahu expressed deep sorrow over Feirberg-Eicher’s death. Netanyahu recalled that she had been a loyal member of the Likud movement for many years, saying: “She was one of the main pillars of local governance in Israel.”
Emphasizing that Feirberg-Eicher guided Netanya’s development for more than a quarter of a century, Netanyahu stated that, thanks to the expansion of the city’s boundaries, the construction of new neighborhoods, the establishment of industrial zones, and major investments in education, culture, tourism and social services, Netanya gained its true identity as a “diamond city.”
Netanyahu added that the loud applause she received at the ceremony naming the municipal stadium after her symbolizes the gratitude of the people of Netanya.
