Minister Tsahkna discussed Baltic Sea infrastructure damages with Minister Voltonen
Tallinn, 26 December (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna issued a statement regarding damages to Estlink2 and broader Baltic Sea infrastructure during a conversation with Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Voltonen.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that he discussed damages to Estlink2 and broader Baltic Sea infrastructure with Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Voltonen.
Minister Tsahkna emphasized close cooperation between Estonia and Finland on this matter, saying, "We cannot rule out the possibility of intentional damage to the cables. Too many incidents have occurred in the Baltic Sea, and the likelihood of them being coincidental is becoming increasingly low."
Tsahkna also highlighted the vulnerability of infrastructure on the Baltic Sea's seabed, saying, "Estonia continues close cooperation with Finland and other countries bordering the Baltic Sea."
