European Parliament President Roberta Metsola assessed the European Union’s new decision regarding Iran.

Referring to the importance of the decision, Metsola said: “Europe is ready to make its voice heard. Designating the Iranian regime’s repressive Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization is the right decision; until a few weeks ago, many said this was impossible.”

Praising the efforts of the European Parliament in this process, Metsola concluded her statement by saying: “I am proud of the European Parliament’s sustained and united efforts that helped make this breakthrough possible. Now is the time to stand firm. Iran will be free.”
