Macron sends condolence message for Robert Birenbaum
Paris, 23 November (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron has issued a message of condolence for Robert Birenbaum, one of the key figures of the French Resistance during the Second World War.
President Macron expressed his condolences for Robert Birenbaum.
Macron recalled that Birenbaum joined the Resistance Movement at the age of sixteen alongside Missak Manouchian and Marcel Rajman, emphasizing that he remained committed throughout his life to the struggle for Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. “A man of faith, he remained loyal to this first vow throughout his life. He is an example to everyone and will remain so,” he said.
Macron conveyed his condolences to Birenbaum’s family and loved ones.
