Macron says France will play a "special role" in Gaza’s future administration
Stockholm, October 13 (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron, upon arriving in Egypt for a summit on Gaza’s future, announced that France will play a “special role” in Gaza’s administration alongside the Palestinian Authority.
After stepping off the plane in Sharm El-Sheikh, Macron said: “We will play a particularly important role in matters of governance. We will ensure that the necessary reforms for the future are carried out.”
He added: “France is ready and has already begun planning work. France will play a role in ensuring lasting peace in Gaza.”
The summit, scheduled for this afternoon, will be co-chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
