Major currencies traded with low volatility on the final trading day of the week in global foreign exchange markets.

As investors monitored expectations regarding central banks' monetary policies, exchange rates recorded limited directional changes.

The euro/U.S. dollar pair (EUR/USD) rose 0.0176 percent to 1.1378.

The U.S. dollar/Japanese yen pair (USD/JPY) declined 0.0183 percent to 163.82, while the Japanese yen posted a limited gain against the dollar.

The British pound/U.S. dollar pair (GBP/USD) fell 0.03 percent to 1.3309, indicating a slight depreciation of sterling against the dollar.

The Australian dollar/U.S. dollar pair (AUD/USD) rose 0.09 percent to 0.6973, delivering the strongest performance among major currencies.

Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar/Canadian dollar pair (USD/CAD) declined 0.0142 percent to 1.4080. The move indicated that the Canadian dollar gained modestly against the U.S. dollar.

Limited price movements in major currency pairs showed that investors continued to adopt cautious positions in line with global economic data and expectations regarding central banks' interest rate paths.
