UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini reported that the agency’s headquarters in occupied East Jerusalem, which had previously been raided and destroyed by Israeli authorities, has now been set on fire.

Lazzarini stated that “allowing this unprecedented destruction constitutes the latest attack on the UN as part of ongoing attempts to eliminate the status of Palestinian refugees in the occupied Palestinian territories and understanding to erase their history,” emphasizing that refugee status must be addressed not through criminal acts but through a genuine political solution.
