Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Sybiha thanks Italy
Kyiv, 25 January (Hibya) – Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha thanked the Italian people for their support for the “SOS – Let’s Heat Ukraine” campaign, launched in Italy in cooperation with civil society organizations and the Ukrainian community.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha made a statement regarding the support coming from Italy to the Ukrainian people, who are enduring a difficult winter due to Russia’s attacks on energy infrastructure.
Referring to the success and importance of the campaign, Sybiha said: “In the most difficult times, friends show their support through concrete actions. The ‘SOS – Let’s Heat Ukraine’ campaign, launched in Italy with the support of civil society organizations, the Ukrainian community, and the Embassy of Ukraine, collected more than 120,000 euros in donations in the first few days to provide generators for Ukrainian cities and continues to bring together more and more people around this goal.”
Emphasizing the moral value of this support in the face of Russia’s attacks, Minister Sybiha added: “While Russia is trying to leave Ukraine without electricity and heating, the solidarity of Italian citizens is becoming a source of energy, warmth, and hope. I sincerely thank everyone who contributes to this joint effort. Thank you very much, Italy.”
