Sybiha: Ukraine will always remember Lithuania’s principled stance
Vilnius, January 25 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Lithuania’s support for Ukraine since the first days of Russia’s invasion has been of vital importance.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha issued a statement, noting that he was honored to accompany President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to Lithuania.
Appreciating Lithuania’s support for Ukraine, Sybiha said: “Lithuania and its people have played a very important role in providing support to Ukraine and in strengthening international unity since the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion.”
Drawing attention to Lithuania’s military assistance and economic contributions, Sybiha stated: “Lithuania’s continued commitment to allocate 25 percent of its GDP to support Ukraine’s defense needs, as well as its contribution under the PURL initiative, is of vital importance for strengthening Ukraine’s military capacity.”
Emphasizing the unwavering solidarity between the two countries, Sybiha concluded his statement by saying: “Ukraine will always remember Lithuania’s principled stance and unwavering solidarity in the most difficult times.”
