Lazzarini: Gaza is on the verge of complete destruction
New York, September 14 (Hibya) - Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of UNRWA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees), made a statement regarding the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Lazzarini stated that the region is “being completely destroyed,” saying that Gaza is turning into a “barren land” and is becoming increasingly “uninhabitable for human life.”
The UNRWA statement emphasized that children are facing hunger, families are being forcibly displaced, and people are living in great fear.
Pointing to the large-scale Israeli military operations in the region, Lazzarini stressed the need to act with political will and determination under the current conditions.
