Lavrov says Kyiv and the West must recognize new territorial realities
Moscow, December 30 (Hibya) – Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with RIA Novosti that Kyiv and the West must recognize the territorial realities that emerged after Russia expanded its borders.
Lavrov said, “Kyiv and its Western supporters must recognize the new territorial realities that emerged after Crimea, Sevastopol, the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Luhansk People’s Republic, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions were incorporated into the Russian Federation.”
Lavrov also stressed the importance of ensuring Ukraine’s neutral, non-aligned and non-nuclear status, underlining the need for the demilitarization and “denazification” of Ukraine, as well as halting the military development of Ukrainian territory by NATO countries.
