According to CCTV, speaking during inspections of the Danube Corridor expressway project built by Chinese companies in eastern Serbia, Vucic said the Taiwan issue is entirely an internal matter of China.

Vucic stated, “Our goal is to preserve global peace and stability. Respect for the UN Charter, international law and the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence is also important. Serbia will continue to firmly support the People’s Republic of China with all its political strength in safeguarding its territorial integrity.”

During the visit, Vucic met with Chinese and Serbian workers, noting that the project will significantly improve connectivity along the Danube River and support the economic development of eastern Serbia.

Expressing satisfaction with the construction quality, Vucic was accompanied during the inspections by China’s Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijevic, and other local officials.
