Lahbib: These harmful practices must end
Strasbourg, May 20 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib met with Dutch MEP Anouk van Brug.
EU Commissioner Hadja Lahbib made a statement regarding her meeting with MEP Anouk van Brug and the efforts against conversion therapy practices.
Referring to the content of the meeting and the strategic step, Lahbib said: “Following the European Commission’s response last week regarding the banning of conversion practices, we discussed that the Commission Recommendation is the right path.”
Emphasizing their clear stance, Commissioner Lahbib concluded her remarks by saying: “We had a clear objective: these harmful practices must end.”
