Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei made remarks regarding the historical role of Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh and the historical background of Iran-US relations.

Emphasizing Mossadegh’s struggle for national sovereignty, Baqaei said: “Today, May 19 (29 Ordibehesht), marks the birthday of the renowned Iranian Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh, whose government was violently overthrown in a coup planned and supported by the United States and the United Kingdom due to his unwavering defense of Iran’s national interests, fierce resistance to foreign domination, and determination not to allow the plundering of Iran’s national resources.”

Criticizing statements by American officials regarding the origin of tensions between the two countries, Baqaei stated: “American officials constantly speak of a ‘47-year conflict’ with Iran. This is a deliberate distortion of history; US hostility toward the Iranian nation did not begin in 1979, but in 1953.”

Drawing attention to the policies faced by the Iranian people, Spokesperson Baqaei concluded: “For more than 73 years, the Iranian people have endured a long history of American intervention, sanctions, threats, and military aggression.”
