Italian TSO Economic Forum Begins
The traditional Economic Forum organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce has started at the Venier Palace in Venice.
The opening speech of the forum, addressing the topic "Opportunities and Risks in Bilateral Trade Relations as the Republic of Turkey Enters Its Second Century," was delivered by Livio Manzini, the President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce.
Manzini, expressing satisfaction with the recent rapid growth of mutual capital investments surpassing bilateral trade, stated, "To the war between Russia and Ukraine that broke out last year, the recent conflict between the Islamic Movement of Palestine and Israel has been added. These developments, causing challenging-to-measure human and material losses, seriously impact the countries and economies in the region, especially when we add the challenges of climate change. Such situations carry significant risks but can also create new opportunities."
Manzini emphasized that Italy, one of the founding members of the European Union, is among the countries strongly and visibly supporting Turkey's accession process to the European Union.
