The Israeli Prime Minister's Office stated that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban had sent a letter to support Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the State of Israel and invited him for a diplomatic visit to Hungary.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the letter as follows:

"I thank Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for his warm support for me and the State of Israel. Unlike those who sided with the disgraceful decision against Israel's right to self-defense, Hungary, like our friends in the United States, demonstrated moral clarity and determination in standing with justice and truth."
