Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez stated that their stance was clear and unequivocal: “Why was Russia expelled after the invasion of Ukraine, but Israel was not expelled after the occupation of Gaza? Until barbarism ends, neither Russia nor Israel should participate in any international competition.”

Israeli Foreign Minister Saar, responding to Sanchez on social media, said:

“On October 7, was it Israel that entered Gaza, or was it the Hamas terrorist state in Gaza that attacked Israel and carried out the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust? Sanchez and his communist government are antisemitic and enemies of the truth.”
