Lahbib supports Fletcher’s call for humanitarian aid
Brussels, September 15 (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib supported the call by UN Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher to increase humanitarian aid for people affected by violence in Haiti.
EU Commissioner Lahbib backed UN Coordinator Fletcher’s call to increase humanitarian assistance for victims of violence in Haiti.
She noted that only 11% of the required 908.2 million dollars has been funded and announced that the EU will contribute 39.4 million euros in 2025, including support for UN humanitarian flights (UNHAS).
