Israeli Diplomats Left Turkey as of October 19
Diplomatic sources at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out, in connection with the recent statement by Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, that Israeli diplomats in Turkey had already left the country some time ago.
According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israeli diplomats had already left the country as of October 19, in connection with the recent statement by Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen regarding Turkey. A Foreign Ministry official providing information to the Turkish press stated, "Israeli diplomats are not currently in Turkey. They had already left our country on October 19. In a letter they submitted to our Ministry on October 18, they indicated that the diplomats at the embassy would leave the country as of October 19 due to recent developments."
The same source also used the phrase "It's hard to understand to whom Cohen gave instructions to return, as the diplomats he mentioned in his statement had already left our country."
In recent days, reports in the media, citing Israeli sources, indicated that Israeli diplomats, including Ambassador Irit Lillian, had left the country for security reasons rather than due to a diplomatic crisis.
