Heavy snow and ice disrupt traffic in Germany
Berlin, January 28 (Hibya) – Heavy snowfall and rain affecting large parts of Germany disrupted major transport services across the country.
According to CCTV, heavy snowfall and freezing rain have affected much of Germany since Monday, disrupting major transport services nationwide and leading to flight cancellations at key transport hubs.

At Frankfurt Airport, more than 70 flights were canceled on Monday as de-icing operations continued throughout the day.
German railway operator Deutsche Bahn reported severe delays and train cancellations on many major routes, including the Berlin–Hamburg line. In the capital Berlin, bus and metro services were also disrupted, creating additional difficulties for passengers.

Meanwhile, the German Weather Service warned that freezing rain was moving toward the southern and eastern parts of the country.
While a new wave of heavy snowfall may be seen in some regions, concerns were raised that further transport disruptions could occur in the coming days.
