Guterres sends message of solidarity against discrimination
New York, May 17 (Hibya) - United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres emphasized solidarity against discrimination in a message published on the occasion of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.
United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that everyone should be able to live freely with their identity, emphasizing that no individual should be treated as a criminal because of their identity.
Noting that the United Nations stands in solidarity with all individuals without discrimination, Guterres said, “Being who you are should never be a crime.”
