During the festival held in Vancouver, a vehicle plowed into a crowd, resulting in numerous fatalities.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock shared a condolence message regarding the accident that occurred during the Lapu Lapu festival in Vancouver.

In her message, Minister Baerbock stated:

"We stand with the people of Canada following the horrifying news from Vancouver. While many were celebrating Lapu-Lapu Day, a man drove into a crowd, killing at least nine people. I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured."
