Fletcher: Humanitarian aid resumed in Myanmar
New York, April 25 (Hibya) – United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher announced that humanitarian aid has been resumed in Myanmar following recent earthquakes.
Fletcher stated that following the devastating earthquakes in Myanmar, humanitarian operations have restarted.
He noted that 80% of the funding will be coordinated with local partners to ensure resources are directed closer to areas of need for maximum efficiency, adding, "Huge thanks to our team."
