Estonia imposes sanctions against war financing
Tallinn, October 14 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna emphasized his country’s firm stance against financial contributions made in support of Russia’s war.
According to Tsahkna’s statement, individuals who donated €54 to Russia via Bitcoin will be fined €1,638 payable to Ukraine and sentenced to 75 hours of community service.
The minister stated that this measure was implemented to deter the financing of war and to support Ukraine, adding, “We are making war donations very expensive.”
Estonian authorities announced that sanctions against those involved in similar actions will continue, reaffirming that the country will not compromise its position against Russia’s war.
