According to CCTV, Peng and Melania toured exhibition halls including the Peacock Room. Peng expressed satisfaction that the US side had returned Chinese cultural artifacts to China on various occasions in recent years, and voiced hope that China and the United States would continue cooperation in cultural exchanges and cultural heritage protection and deepen friendship between the two peoples.

Following the visit, Peng and Melania watched a group of young American singers perform Chinese songs together and had a warm conversation with the performers.
