According to an announcement made today by the China National Space Administration (CNSA), research and construction work related to the lunar exploration mission with the spacecraft Chang'e-6 is progressing as planned. The launch of the lunar exploration vehicle is expected in 2024.

To facilitate communication between the far side of the Moon and Earth, China is planning to launch the relay communication satellite Queqiao-2 in the first half of next year.

In order to enhance international cooperation, the Chang'e-6 mission will carry various equipment and satellite projects from four different countries, including a radon detector from France.
