Cassis: We must defend human dignity by learning from the past
Bern, September 8 (Hibya) - Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis announced that an important step has been taken toward establishing a national memorial site in Bern for the victims of the Holocaust and Nazi persecution.

Cassis said remembrance does not mean merely looking to the past, stating, “Remembering is not just about looking back. It means learning from the past and defending human dignity, the rule of law and our freedoms today.”
Cassis also congratulated the winners of the “unfolded minute” project, which will give this culture of remembrance a permanent place in the center of Bern.
