Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced new steps that will make it easier for young people to enter skilled trades and strengthen the country's workforce.

Referring to the project launched nationwide, Carney said, “It will be a great time to work in the trades. Team Canada Strong is our new national initiative to train and hire up to 100,000 new Red Seal skilled workers.”

Drawing attention to the simplifications in certification processes and the goals of the project, Carney stated, “We are cutting certification time in half so that more young people can enter the trades and help make Canada stronger.”
