Budrys: Protecting Lithuania’s freedom is our shared responsibility
Vilnius, July 6 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys emphasized in his Statehood Day message that protecting the country's independence and freedom is a shared responsibility.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys stated that Lithuania has endured throughout history thanks to courage, unity, and commitment to freedom, stressing the importance of building a stronger country for future generations.
Noting that Lithuania’s statehood did not come about on its own, Budrys said: “Our state was not handed to us. It was built, defended, and preserved over centuries through courage, unity, and an unwavering commitment to freedom. Today, that same responsibility belongs to us: we must protect our freedom, uphold our values, and build a stronger Lithuania for future generations. Lithuania is our fortress, our responsibility, and our strength. Happy Statehood Day to all Lithuanians around the world. Long live Lithuania.”
